..........My name is Joe, and I am an avid fan of Star Trek. I have been building and collecting models since I was in grade school. After years of building models for my personal display it was suggested that I try and make a part-time job out of it. After a few sales on eBay from my own collection, I made the decision to launch this website. It became a success and all of the models displayed on this website have been sold successfully to clients both on and off eBay. Our Technique

Here at Light Year Models, we are committed to 100% customer satisfaction.

1. We start by test fitting all of the components of the kit. I then use fine grit sand paper to grind down all blemishes so all parts will fit together perfectly

2. When lighting the model, we use micro drills to drill out the windows and then cut to shape according to the hull slope. All windows are drilled out by hand.

3. After the windows are drilled out the model sits in a detergent bath to remove all oil on the plastic.

4. All of our models are airbrushed for maximum quality and accuracy. Decals are custom for your ship, unless otherwise noted. We also offer an array of aftermarket accurization parts in our builds.

5. LED's are they way to go for long lasting light life. They will last for years and years. We use only LED's in our models. For more information on pricing please see our pricing list link.

6. Each and every model leaves the shop in perfect working condition. We continually test the models throughout the building process for light leaks and short circuits.
